Whether you are experienced in ecoscenography or simply curious, this event is for you! Join us for a captivating discussion and enriching exchange on the challenges of eco-design in the fields of theatre and performance. Tanja Beer, accompanied by Marianne Lavoie, Director of the Eco-design Department at Écoscéno, will share her expertise and insights on how ecology can be integrated into artistic creation. The discussion will be followed by a question period and networking opportunity for everyone.

TANJA BEER: She is an ecoscenographer, community artist, educator, and researcher passionate about creating spaces that highlight the interconnectedness of the more-than-human world. Trained as a performance designer, she collaborates with landscape architects, ecologists, and horticulturists to drive environmental action. She is the author of Ecoscenography: An Introduction to Ecological Design for Performance and a Senior Lecturer in Design at Griffith University, Australia.

MARIANNE LAVOIE: Graduated in Scenography from Concordia University and Universidad del Salvador. Since 2020, she has supported over forty theatre and museum productions in eco-design. Director of the Eco-design Department at Écoscéno since September 2024, she trains professionals and leads an international reading club on eco-scenography with Tanja Beer.
