Γ‰coscΓ©no is honored to host a special moment with Tanja Beer, Australian ecoscenographer and professor, during her exclusive visit to Montreal!

Whether you are experienced in ecoscenography or simply curious, this event is for you! Join us for a captivating discussion and enriching exchange on the challenges of eco-design in the fields of theatre and performance. Tanja Beer, accompanied by Marianne Lavoie, Director of the Eco-design Department at Γ‰coscΓ©no, will share her expertise and insights on how ecology can be integrated into artistic creation. The discussion will be followed by a question period and networking opportunity for everyone.

REGISTRATION

TANJA BEER: She is an ecoscenographer, community artist, educator, and researcher passionate about creating spaces that highlight the interconnectedness of the more-than-human world. Trained as a performance designer, she collaborates with landscape architects, ecologists, and horticulturists to drive environmental action. She is the author of Ecoscenography: An Introduction to Ecological Design for Performance and a Senior Lecturer in Design at Griffith University, Australia.

MARIANNE LAVOIE: Graduated in Scenography from Concordia University and Universidad del Salvador. Since 2020, she has supported over forty theatre and museum productions in eco-design. Director of the Eco-design Department at Γ‰coscΓ©no since September 2024, she trains professionals and leads an international reading club on eco-scenography with Tanja Beer.
